For Netflix, the results have been immediate and dramatic. Assets are stored in large rooms and, since the installation of Volteo’s solution, assets have consistently been where they are supposed to be.

But the rooms are large, and the assets are difficult to distinguish visually, resulting in time-consuming searches within the room. Handheld readers and a smartphone application make it easy to find needed assets rapidly.

Netflix now finds its assets quickly and easily, and expedited replacements are no longer needed. Operational efficiencies have been improved up to 30%, and expansions are planned.
