The Senior Technical consultant will provide technical expertise to support customer’s implementations of the ITSM and CSM suite of products developed on the ServiceNow platform. This is a hands-on role capable of leading technical implementations to ensure customers are successfully implemented and value established during the sales cycle is actualized.
The Senior TC Role requires a strong alignment with engineering, software development, ServiceNow and Volteo Technical best practices.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Define, at an architectural and design level of detail, technical solutions aligned with our client’s business problems.
- Communicate complex technical solutions to clients.
- Assist the sales and engagement managers in the region with scoping complex service engagements typically involving ITSM, and CSM.
- Build POV (Proof Of Value) solutions in demo instances for proposed solutions in context of a services engagement sale.
- Will work with existing clients on developing technical solutions that will be delivered by ServiceNow Professional Services.
- Will work with Pre-Sales Solution Consultants/Architects on new business to understand and provide continuity for POV work into ServiceNow Professional Services.
Research & Skills Development:
- Maintain expert knowledge of the ServiceNow platform.
- Maintain current knowledge via internal webinars, case study, training, Wiki and all other resources available.
- Answer ServiceNow Community questions.
- Help mentor new Technical Consultants.
- Lead existing Technical Consultants to be successful.
- Perform research into technology partner or other vendor solutions in context of client requirements for integrated delivery
- Provide hands on assistance with the detailed design and implementation phases of select engagements.
- Demonstrate technical leadership on ServiceNow engagements with customers and partners.
- Assist delivery teams with resolving critical path technical issues, challenges.
- Flexibility to work at different levels with multiple customers.
- Should be an expert in coding and implementation of different modules in ServiceNow.
Certifications Required: (Latest version – desirable)
- System Administrator
- ITSM Implementation Specialist
- Certified in Application Development
- CIS – CSM
- ITIL V4
- Scrum Master
Skills and Qualifications:
- ServiceNow: 5+ years as a developer (must)
- Advance Java Scripting (must)
- Total IT Experience: 5+ years
- Experience in a Professional Services environment.
- Ability to both configure and demonstrate solutions in the ServiceNow platform.
- Hands on experience as a senior developer
- Real time project experience in ITSM and CSM
- Experience designing and implementing client facing solutions leveraging involving enterprise software.
- Experience implementing and integrating enterprise software applications.
- Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integrated solutions including:
- SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.
- Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript or Jelly including: Business Rules, Client
- Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, etc.
- Is self-motivated / self-directed – capable of multi-tasking and accepting change both in tasks and schedule.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
- Ability to work in an agile and challenging environment.
